Nope! We are a walk-in studio because who likes feeling rushed when their times up? If seats are full when you arrive, just ask about our waitlist. There’s a nice courtyard with benches to sit and places to shop or eat. We’ll send a text message when your seats are available. For groups larger than 6 (service charge applies), we recommend booking an event to secure seats together.
There is a $12 studio fee per painter. The fee covers exclusive use of our wide selection of paints (underglazes), special tools and resources, along with hand glazing and kiln-firing by our trained studio techs. The un-painted ceramic item you choose to paint is priced separately from the studio fee. Prices start around $20 for smaller items and go up from there. Average is about $35.
No experience needed, everyone is welcome! Come in and browse our studio, it’s fully stocked with special supplies and tons of inspiration to help you create your masterpiece. In addition, our friendly studio techs are there to guide you on your creative journey. Feel free to explore our Project or Techniques!
Plates, bowls, mugs, serving trays, flower vases, trinket dishes! We have gnomes, banks, princesses, unicorns, dragons, cute animals, dog bowls, treat jars, seasonal items and MANY MORE! While we may not carry every piece shown on our Project Sheets and try to keep popular items stocked, it could so happen that a specific item is not in stock or in-transit; please check with a studio tech. We re-stock our shelves regularly!
We suggest items with less detail and a good amount of flat surface area, so your little one can paint freely and messily. Little ones have wiggly hands! Our paints are non-toxic and lead-free…perfect for handprint and footprint art. Just ask a studio tech about our print keepsakes. We offer weekly discounts for kids ages 5 and under. Don’t worry about it! Let a studio tech know and come back another day free of charge, to finish your piece in peace. Afterall, you can’t rush art!
MAGIC! Once your piece fully dries, we’ll hand dip it in our proprietary glaze and then kiln-fire it at over 1800 degrees on-site in our professional kiln. After it cools completely, your piece is carefully unloaded and then inspected by a trained studio tech for any finishing touches. This process transforms it into a beautiful and shiny masterpiece.
Orders are ready for pick up in about 7 to 10 days. We’ll text you when it’s ready and then you’ll have up to 30 days to pick up your special piece. If you cannot pick it up within 30 days, please give the studio a call at 408.784.0909. Items that are left behind without communication will be donated after 30 days, due to limited storage space.
All our paints are water-based, non-toxic and lead-free. After the firing process- drinkware, serving ware and dinnerware become functional pieces which are then food-safe and microwave-safe. We recommend washing by hand as dishwashers can affect the shiny finish over time.
You are welcome to bring a light meal, drink or snack to munch on while you paint. However we recommend washing your hands in between eating and handling the pottery, as some oils in food may cause firing issues with your pottery. Alcohol is only permitted during private events, when the studio is closed to the general public.
